PESHAWAR: The PESCO Chief Anwarul Haq Yousafzai on Monday directed the staff to speed-up efforts against illegal use of electricity and bring culprits to task.
The PESCO chief passed these directives during his visit to PESCO sub-division Swabi-1 and Swabi-2 to review administrative matters and facilitate consumers. He said provision of better facilities to consumers was the top priority of the company and every step would be taken to provide better facilities to consumers at their door steps.
“We will make PESCO a consumer friendly and profit earning company.” He assured the employees of his full cooperation and vowed for redressal of their professional problems. He directed of speeding up drive against illegal use of electricity as direct hooks are the major cause of power interruptions and deficit of the company.
He said that police cooperation in this regard may also be obtained. He directed the officers and staff to immediately stop over billing and in case of violation of authority instructions, strict action will be taken besides ensuring 100 per cent photo meter reading in all sub divisions immediately.
He further directed to redress customer’s problems and guide them with good behavior. He urged the staff to get local government representatives cooperation and support to resolve the customer’s electricity problems.
